There used to be a device sold on TV called "The Clapper". You may remember the commercials, "clap on, clap off, the Clapper."
They still sell these things.
Imagine plugging The Clapper into the electrical outlet your victims computer is plugged into. Or maybe you plug it into the microwave. Or perhaps a vending machine (check the voltage). Any electrical device that can be plugged into a wall socket is fair game where the Clapper is involved.
